Happy 4th Birthday, Michael Paul!

Happy Birthday, to my sweet, big boy! It has been so incredibly fun to watch Michael grow from a round, short, shy little boy into a tall, energetic, outgoing preschooler! I just looked at the stats and since Michael got home in May 2010 he has grown 6.5 inches and gained almost 8.5 pounds. He is a super tall boy, now, in the 93% for height!
This year, Michael got to have a friend birthday party. We had been talking about it for months, discussing what the theme of his party should be and who he wanted to invite. When it came time to make his final decision, he told me he only wanted to invite boys to his party and that he wanted a super-hero party. So, we took lots of pictures in super-hero outfits to make a cute, home-made invitation. Then, we went to the party store to buy party decorations, treats, and prizes. While we were at the store, Michael changed his mind and decided he wanted a sports party. Good thing I hadn't made the invitations yet!
Michael had a great time with 4 of his little buddies, and Liliana, of course. :) The funniest part of the party to me was when Michael was opening his gifts. Instead of paying attention to Michael, all the other boys were busy playing with toys. It was quite different than the girls hoarding Liliana as she opened her gifts.
We also had a little party for Michael with our family. We went out to eat at the restaurant of his choice (he chose Chili's) and then had cake & ice cream afterwards. He always has so much fun playing with his cousins.
Today we are going to celebrate again as a family. Michael got to choose what he wanted for his birthday dinner and he chose Pot Pie - the exact same meal he chose last year for his birthday. I guess he knows what he likes!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped make Michael's birthday special! We are so blessed to have such a sweet boy. I can hardly believe he's already 4. Time goes so fast!
