Dentist.

Today was a special day for Liliana. It was her first real visit to the dentist. Earlier this summer she went to the dentist because she chipped a tooth. She was only there for a few minutes and everything checked out fine. This time she was going to have her teeth cleaned.
Michael and Liliana are just like their mommy -- they LOVE going to the dentist. They couldn't wait to go. Michael kept asking me, "Mom, is it time to go to the dentist yet?" The time finally came and we walked over to the dentist (that's right, the dentist is so close we can walk. Awesome.)Michael went first and he was a great example for his little sister. He sat very nice while having his teeth cleaned. This was Michael's 3rd visit to the dentist, but it was the first time that I was actually in the little room with him. I was so impressed with how nice he sat and how well he listened to the hygienist.
Liliana went next and she was chomping at the bit to get into the seat. The entire time the hygienist was cleaning Michael's teeth Liliana was standing right next to Michael's head watching her every move. Immediately after getting into the seat she took off her shoes. She thought this was what you did when you sat in the dentist's chair since Michael took his shoes off while he was in the seat. However, Michael took his sandals off because they were falling off his feet anyway.
After getting her shoes off she started asking for the "spit." As it turns out, all Liliana wanted was that spit sucker thingy. She loved playing with it and having it suck up her spit.Liliana followed her brother's great example, and did a great job as well. I was so proud of her. I really thought she was going to throw a fit and scream and cry the entire time. I would have never guessed that she would enjoy her visit to the dentist so much!
