Reason #22: They love to cuddle

Doesn't ever parent - or at least ever mom - hope for a cuddly child? There is nothing sweeter than cuddling with your little boy or little girl. We are so blessed to have two cuddly kids.

When we first got the kids home, they were super cuddly. This was a great way for us to bond with them and spend time with them. After a while, though, they stopped wanting to cuddle. I am not sure why - maybe just a part of the bonding process. However, since last fall, they have both been super cuddlers.

They love to cuddle in bed with us in the morning. They especially love to cuddle when we get home from daycare in the evening. And then, each night, the want to cuddle with us at bed time. I think part of their desire for cuddles at bedtime is a delay tactic, though. :)

Liliana, more than Michael, loves to cuddle throughout the day. She loves been held all wrapped up in a blanket like a baby. She is constantly saying "Holdee, Mommy" or "Holdee baby, Mommy" (hold me like a baby). Michael prefers to be cuddled and tickled at the same time. He also likes being thrown around, chased, and tackled. Typical boy. :)

As much as I love cuddling with the kids, I think it is easy to take it for granted. They won't always want us to cuddle them at night. So, we try to take advantage of the sweet time we have with them now to cuddle them and love them to their heart's content.
But, when we say no (particularly when they ask us to cuddle at night), sometimes they decide to cuddle each other!
