We LOVE Fall, Part 3

Fall brings the first parties of the year for students at school. I was so excited to be able to volunteer in Michael's class for their Fall Harvest Party. All the kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes. The kids got to do an art project (this was my job -- to help the kids), make play-doh pumpkin faces, carve a pumpkin, have a special snack, and play Halloween games. Michael had a blast and it was really fun for me to watch him interact with his friends and teachers.
Here is a picture of Michael with all the boys and 2 girls in his class all dressed up.
The kids went on a parade around the school and collected goodies from the other teachers.Michael didn't seem to mind or be embarrassed that I was at his school with him... until I broke out the camera. Here is his, "Please stop taking pictures of me, Mom" face.
Michael also had the opportunity to dress up for dance class. On Thursday (the day of his dance class) he was determined to be a robot for Halloween, so we began making a robot costume for him. Here is a picture of the robot in progress.

Thursday night we decided he wasn't going to be able to dance in his robot costume, so he decided to dress up as Jared Allen. The next morning he decided he wanted to wear his dog costume to school even though it was a little tight. After getting so many compliments from his friends and teachers at school, he decided he didn't want to be a robot at all... he decided to be a puppy. :)
Liliana dressed up as a medieval princess. She was so excited about her princess costume that she wanted to wear her costume to Michael's dance class and to his school as well. They had a great time trick-or-treating. Matt took them out while I stayed home to pass out candy. The kids brought home a ton of candy. Every day since we haven't heard the end of it. From the moment the kids get up to the moment they go to bed they are asking if they can have "just one more piece of candy."Happy Fall Everyone!
