Reason #20: They love art
I think most kids like doing art projects. But sometimes it feels like our kids - Michael especially - love doing art projects. I would say it's a daily occurrence for Michael to ask to color, paint, play with play-doh, or something of the like.
We have done a variety of projects since the kids have been home. We have played with "goop" and we have played with food finger paint on the table.
We have made more "involved" art projects such as feet penguins and shaving cream pigs. That on top of the typical coloring with crayons and markers, playing with play-doh, and, on occasion, painting (I can only handle this type of mess so often).
Michael started to write his name a few months ago. He does a really good job and is so proud of himself. He also can copy most letters and has written happy birthday cards to several family members.
He also started drawing people right around Valentine's day. They are the fabulous people that have their legs and arms coming out of their heads. So cute.
Having the kids love art and doing art projects is special for us because Matt is an artist. Did you know that? He is very talented at drawing, painting, charcoal and the like. Next time you are over, ask us to show you what he's done!
