Reason #9: Yes that's the book for them!

Michael and Liliana Faye both love the Bible.

Every night after dinner we sit down on the couch, or on rare occasion up in bed if they're lucky, and read our children's Bible(s) together. Both kids love asking questions about the pictures as well as showing off what they know about the stories.

For the longest time Michael's favorite part of the Bible was the story of the Israelite's captivity in Egypt. He couldn't wait to get to the part where we see the naughty man (Pharaoh) and always pointed out to us that "Him no listen". This process was repeated on each of the 6 pages of plagues of Egypt as well as the introduction to Pharaoh and the resolution of the story arch. "Yes Michael, he did not listed not God."

Nowadays Michael is very much into Bible songs and loves singing the songs in one of our new Bibles. Just last week he brought me his Bible opened to the page with the song "The B-I-B-L-E" and said "Daddy, sing B-A-B." Needless to say, I was impressed. Finding the single page you want in a 200 page book is difficult enough when you CAN read.

Liliana Faye also enjoys reading the Bible. Although she does not get into the stories as much as her brother does she loves to point out God's marvelous creations in His Good Book. Some of her personal favorites are rainbows, butterflies, flowers, the sun, and stars (one of her all-time favorite things).

Those of you that are parents understand the uneasy feeling you get when your children are playing quietly, especially when you are right there watching them. Well, on one such occasion we have caught out sweet little girl standing quietly (and still!) in the family room with her Hug-A-Bible open on the couch in front of her doing her devotions.

What a blessing that The Lord has given us children that Love His Word! Hallelujah!
